At Diffabilities, we believe that summer is for everyone! Our Teen Summer Camps are designed specifically for individuals aged 12-17 with developmental disabilities, offering a dynamic, inclusive, and engaging experience. Whether you're looking to explore creativity, develop new skills, or enjoy outdoor adventures, our camps provide the perfect balance of fun, social connection, and personal growth.

There's a Camp for Everyone

Our summer camps are conveniently located in West Edmonton (17338 106A Ave NW) and Sherwood Park (41 Broadway Blvd #42). These locations serve as pick-up and drop-off points, ensuring accessibility for all participants.

At Diffabilities, we proudly serve individuals with a wide range of developmental disabilities, tailoring our programs and services to meet their unique needs and goals. Our friends come to us with diagnoses that may include Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), Intellectual Disabilities, and other developmental or neurological differences.​

Art Camp

Discovering Creativity: Art Camp where Every Stroke Tells a Story!

July 7 - 11, 2025  |  August 18 - 22, 2025

At art camp, friends will learn about various mediums to create many pieces of art! We will explore painting, tile work, sculpture and textile printing. In addition to this, friends will experience some of the wonderful art and culture within the City of Edmonton, including outings to festivals, art walks, parades and more! Come join us for a creative week!

Cooking Camp

Unlocking Flavorful Adventures: Cooking Camp for All Abilities!

July 14 - 18, 2025  |  August 5 - 8, 2025

At cooking camp, friends will learn to cook basic recipes to help build independence and autonomy. Each day will feature a new dish to cook and enjoy. In addition to cooking, friends will learn about kitchen safety, grocery shopping, budgeting, and cleaning.

Outdoor Camp

Nature's Playground: Outdoor Adventures for Every Explorer!

July 21 - 25, 2025  |  August 11 - 15, 2025

At outdoor camp, friends will learn all about the outdoors. Camp activities will include wilderness knowledge, learning about the animals that live in Alberta, going for hikes, feeding the birds, making lunch over the fire, and more! This camp will also include a two-night, inclusive camping trip from Wednesday to Friday! We will be going to a local campground, and spending the night under the stars! Come join us for an outstanding week!

Multisport Camp

Boundless Play: Multisport Camp for Every Athlete!

July 28 - August 1, 2025  |  August 25 - 29, 2025

At multisport camp, friends will practice and play a new sport each day. From soccer to bocce ball to bowling and beyond, multisport is sure to keep us on the move! This camp will also include community outings to the outdoor pool! Come join us for an active week!

What to Expect

Once you complete our registration form, you'll receive an email approving your registration within 5 business days.

 

After camp registration is approved, you'll receive a series of emails that will include information on: 

  • Camp waivers, activity fees and invoicing. 

  • Daily plans and planned activities.  

  • What to bring to camp. 

  • Pick up and drop off instructions. 

  • Activity transportation. 

  • Other important information about camp.

Trained and Caring Staff: Our team includes experienced camp counsellors and specialized educators with training in disability awareness, communication, and behavior management.

Summer Camp Fees and Payment Information

Our Teen Summer Camp service fees are covered through FSCD hours. In addition to FSCD funding, there is a weekly activity fee of $100, which covers all outings and transportation for the camp.
